AVID is saying that the new HDX systems will be cheaper than AVID previous HD systems. I figured that got tossed around was a comparison of $15,000 for a current generation system vs. $10,000 for a new HDX system. They are also saying that there are many third party developers that have already begun developing AAX plugins. So expect to see some new AAX plugins on the floor of AES 2011 in the coming days.
