Anamod 500 Series Two-Stage Transformer/Tube Analog Simulator AES 2010
From Anamod:
Vesatile modeled amplifier
· Two transformer stages - 2 models each
· Two tube stages stages - 4 models each
· All analog - no latency or conversion
· Single-space 500 series rack formatWhether tracking live or re-processing instruments, many people use a tube amplifier to shape the sound of a track. The AnaMod XF Tube provides a unique way to do this. The XF Tube is an analog model of an amplifier which consists of an input transformer, 2 tube stages, and an output transformer. Any of the stages may be bypassed and each stage has switchable parameters. The transformer stages allow for the selection of an iron or nickel core model while the tube stages provide models for both pentodes and triodes as well as configuring the stage as either push-pull or single-ended.
The XF Tube, while being model based, is a purely analog device. It was created using the AnaMod process to model the complex tube and transformer characteristics. Unlike a digital plug-in or processor- based outboard gear, there is no latency, and no A/D or D/A conversions to compromise the sound.

ELBERG LM24C 24 channel mixer/summing amp/line preamp
PRESS RELEASE
Danish company ELT launches two new products: The ELBERG LM24C 24 channel mixer/summing amp/line preamp, and the ELBERG HM12 high output headphone mixer amp.
Negative gain enables full output from harddisk to be mixed
The master of the ELBERG LM24C includes a 'SUMMING GAIN' rotary switch (-30-0 dB in steps of 6 dB), which due to negative gain enables it to handle the high level which is created, when 24 tracks from a harddisk recorded at typically +10 til +15 dBu are summed. The commonly used procedure of attenuating the output level of the harddisk – resulting in degraded resolution – can thus be avoided.
New life to your headphone
The ELBERG HM12 is a high output headphone mixer featuring eight mono- and four stereo in- and output. The mono inputs offer pan control, and the stereo inputs a mono button. The master uncludes a switchable two band EQ. The master volume feeds the jack socket for a headphone. An external power supply delivers the voltage (+37 V) for the HM12.
The rear facilitates the two input- and two linked output sub-D connectors. This enables chosen mix channels to be fed to a chain of HM12s, so that each musician can create his or her individual monitor mix. Due to the high supply voltages, the HM12 can make a headphone deliver extremely high sound levels maintaining its transparent and well defined sound throughout. The outputs consist of selected and matched transistors and are short circuit safe.

Burl B80 Mothership a/d & d/a converter
FROM BURL'S SITE
"Introducing the B80 MOTHERSHIP, the multi-channel version of Burl Audio’s critically acclaimed B2 Bomber ADC and DAC. Pushing the boundaries once again, the Burl Audio B80 Mothership AD/DA converter has up to 80 channel capability. Using a card based system, and a heavy duty 4U chassis, the B80 Mothership employs 10 card slots with 2, 4 and 8 channel AD/DA cards, all with the B2 quality signal path.Every ADC channel has a BX1 transformer and every DAC channel has the latest Burl Audio discrete op-amp, BOPA2, technology. For many who have already embraced the B2 Bomber, this is a dream come true. Recording an entire band and playing back through 24 channels Burl at a time, is a truly beautiful experience.
With a completely configurable AD/DA, a converter for any situation can be realized. If you just mix, load up the B80 with 8 BDA8 cards for 64 channels of mind blowing fidelity. If you track live, 6 BAD4 cards will give you 24 B2 quality inputs, and 4 BDA8 cards gives you 32 channels of outputs. Rocking.
"Digital interconnect is also completely configurable, and controlled by a swappable motherboard. The first offering of the B80 digital motherboard , the BMB1, comes standard with two Digi-link connectors for direct hookup to Pro Tools. Burl Audio does away with the expansion port, making both primary ports. That means you can play 64 DAC channels straight out of Pro Tools with one unit! No more cascading units with multiple word clocks. All channels can run off of one internal master clock. Good bye word clock generator! Of course if you do need more channels, multiple units run flawlessly with tight clocking.
The technology that makes this possible is the Burl BackBone. The Burl BackBone is a high bandwidth backplane delivering incredible digital audio throughput. The Burl BackBone also delivers large amounts of power to the analog sections. Master clock travels directly to each converter eliminating the need for individual PLLs."
