"Up for auction is this great Soundcraft Ghost 32 channel 8 bus recording mixer / console. It had been in operation in a smoke free professional studio in Chicago and then barely used in my home studio for the past couple of years. It shows some wear along the cheeks from moving (see pics). All aspects of this console are fully functional and would make for a great mixer at any serious home studio or professional facility.
These consoles are well known for their amazing sonic capabilities and an incredible list of features for an unbeatable price. In terms of sound, features, and design, this is a huge step above the other options in the same price range out there made by Mackie, Behringer and other brands. This is not one of the newer LE versions, this is the full blown original design with the center section with machine control and CPU functions. With this center section, one can remotely control transports on recorders, create mute groups, store up to 128 snapshots of console mute status and recall them manually or remotely via MIDI program change messages. The MIDI implementation of the center section alone makes this a far superior console to others in its class.
Every channel features an ultra low noise mic preamp with 60 dBu input sensitivity with individually switched phantom power, a line input, a phase reverse switch a 100Hz low-cut filter, a 4 band semi-parametric EQ, 8 aux sends (4 mono and 2 stereo), Mix B section (with individual pan, level, mute and solo), channel pan, solo, mute 100mm faders and group assign switches for the 8 buses.

"Soundtracs are well known for their commercial quality boards, high performance bang for buck value and excellent build quality. The 16/8/2 is a relatively small console, probably about the same as a 16 Channel Mackie 8 buss but with an obvious higher end heritage. This one is sold in full working order, may need a bit of basic servicing to remove any crackles but nothing major.
This is probably a less well known console but would be regarded as equal too and generally better than something similar in the Mackie vein except with more of a vintage character.
Its simple to use, easy to configure with XLRs and Jack points rather than EDACs, it is a practical vintage console to own."

Trident Series 65 Mixing Console

"Up for bidding is our Trident Series 65 console. It was built in 1986 and we have the original manual which is very helpful. The console was purchased by us in 2007 and remained in a smoke free environment in our studio on Music Row. We are selling because we no longer have that space and are selling all remaining equipment. The Trident comes with 32 channels, 8 aux send, 8 group insert sends and returns and 16 group outs, 16 tape returns and 4 echo returns. What makes this console unique is the custom front section that was added by us. Housed in solid wood, this addition contains a 3-way source select, 3-way monitor select (all military grade switches) along with a Gold Point passive attenuator. There is the keyboard with Kensington track ball mouse and X-Keys (58 programable keys for creating macros and navigational shortcuts. For the talkback function, we added an arcade style button and also a separate hold button. We used the 2 headphone jacks for monitoring the aux sends. The other two modifications that were done while in our possession were the grounding mod which entailed putting in a copper bar and grounding every channel individually and also added an additional power supply for future mods that we never got around to doing. The power supply is made by Acopian and was $1200. Whatever mods or opamps you may want to add to this console, you will have plenty of power to do so. We added a monitor arm to stand and are throwing this in with the console along with the 22 inch Samsung monitor that is shown in the picture.
Known Issues:
One channel out of the 32 is not passing audio purely and may be due to cap or opamp or possibly just a seating issue as this was something that just came up as we were checking everything over to sell it.
In order to implement our custom monitor piece, the channel solo function of all 32 channels has been bypassed
All the pots work but could just use some cleaner "
