"This is "the AKG Tube" microphone, that replaced the C12 and preceded the C12VR. It comes with all original manuals, metal briefcase, power supply, connection cables, windscreen and shock mount. Many think this mic sounds much closer to the venerable original C12 than the current VR. This mic was purchased from a professional studio recently for a studio project that just didn't come together. It sounds insanely smooth and rich. It was a/b 'd with a C12VR and blew it away. Also compared to several other mics, including aNeumann M149. It had more detail smoothness and "air" to it, not that I can put down the Neumann either. It has its own unique, rich tone as well. I cannot afford to keep it in it's case, unused, any longer. It is a luxury I can't afford. The capsule was replaced by the owner a couple of years ago. It is the made by AKG but I do not know the specific model."

"Stereo Pair of Vintage AKG 451 EB mics with CK1 capsules for sale. Mics are in great shape and work perfectly. I recently tested the mics and no problems. The roll off switches also work perfectly. Both mics have serial numbers scratched into the side of the preamps. I am not sure what these are for but probably some sort of in house serial numbers used to keep track of inventory in their former life. There is some tape residue at the bottom of the barrels by the XLR connectors. This can be easily cleaned off with some alcohol and a rag."

You are bidding on a very nice AKG Model 451E Pro Condenser Capicator Microphone with Foam Rubber Lined Storage Box. This microphone is from the estate of a audio technician/collector. Please review the photographs carefully. The microphone and storage box are in excellent condition with only the foam rubber wind screen for the microphone showing some discoloration due to age. This is easily replaced. We were not able to test this microphone without the necessary equipment so it is being offered AS IS with NO RETURN. It is available to the highest bidder with NO RESERVE!

This AKG C24 is in great sounding condition. AKG has replaced the original connector in the base of the microphone with a new 12 pin connector to reduce noise and increase connector reliability. Power supply has custom pattern control modification, but it was implemented very professionally with Allen Bradley potentiometers and works great. The capsules are original and sound wonderful. I will include a new 6072 tube to replace the existing tube to guarantee performance. The system is complete and wonderful, only selling to handle tax losses from last year.
