This AKG C24 is in great sounding condition. AKG has replaced the original connector in the base of the microphone with a new 12 pin connector to reduce noise and increase connector reliability. Power supply has custom pattern control modification, but it was implemented very professionally with Allen Bradley potentiometers and works great. The capsules are original and sound wonderful. I will include a new 6072 tube to replace the existing tube to guarantee performance. The system is complete and wonderful, only selling to handle tax losses from last year.

I'm selling my AKG C-24 vintage stereo tube microphone. I recently purchased it but for various reasons I can't keep it. If you are looking at this auction then you know what it is.
The mic itself is all original with the exception of the connector which has been upgraded to fit the newer Drefahl Audio power supply (www.drefahl.com).
This is an exceptionally fine sounding microphone. Both capsules sound well balanced against each other and provides excellent stereo imaging, wether for XY, MS or Blumlein micing. Using the capsules one by one they sound very similar to a great C-12, and are great for most things - piano, strings, acoustic guitars, room, OH, and it's of course phenomenal for vocals. The mic has just been serviced by Andreas Grosser.
The mic is located in my studio in NYC and can be inspected and auditioned here. Local pickup is available. I will ship worldwide. $50 flat rate for UPS Ground shipping to lower 48, all other locations contact me for shipping quotes.
