" Up for auction is a Fairchild classic channel FICM mixer module. This model includes mic pre, line amp, eq and compressor. Compressor is optical compressor with the famous fairchild sound. Compressor has two controls for release and compression. EQ is two band fixed low and six band selectable highs at 2kHz, 3kHz, 4kHz, 5kHz, 7kHz, and 10kHz. There is a vintage VU dB meter. There is an Ampex 458-0100-10 microphone transformer. We have had several of these racked up for customers who have raved about the sound quality."

This is a great sounding Vintage tube preamps, excels on vocals, guitar & bass etc.. The tube tone controls - bass and treble - sound great. The treble sound crisp and clean with a touch of air and the bass is round, warm and can be punchy if needed.
This is great for DAW recording. Will definitely warm up those digital tracks.
This comes with two 4722 plug in input transformer (see pics) these are the great sounding mic transformers . . The 4722 mic transformer is used with dynamic and ribbon mics. It also comes with one 15095 Plug in transformer for the output... you can also use this as a line in input, we never wired it up that way..
You can get some good results driving this preamp, and the sweet spot is outrageous.
This is play and plug ready. It comes with an 1/4" TRS balanced pigtail. (see pics) and two XLR mic jacks.."
