It's in very good cosmetic condition. It will be well packaged. Shipping is a flat rate of $49.99 to all states except Alaska and Hawaii. Unfortunately, I cannot ship to Alaska and Hawaii. (2) Rack EarsAnalog tape decks probably sound better than digital units,
but they are just too big and way too heavy.Bought this new years ago for a good chunk of Dinero
using it moderately from 1986-1992 including
scheduled lubrication & degaussings.I'ts been neatly tucked away in my air conditioned bedroom closet
and has not been used in a while.
Check out the pictures below. It's in very clean shape cosmetically.The heads, rollers & capstans are looking very good.
Playback, rewind, FF, Pitch Control, functions all checked fine.
No missing parts. All controls work fine.I haven't recorded anything in some time,
but by the looks of the heads, it should still record problem free.Last calibrated for AMPEX 456.
Meter lights work fine but will probably
have some that are out after all this time."

For sale is a great sounding Fostex r8 8 track multitrack reel to reel recorder.
It works perfectly and has been tested - all 8 tracks record and play. It's from my smoke free home studio. Heads have been regularly cleaned and demagnetized.
8 rca line ins and outs for maximum flexibility - record to any or all of the 8 tracks at once while playing other tracks. Bouncing tracks is easy with a mixer hooked up.
